Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), in collaboration with Experience Zone (EZ), introduced its first-of-its-kind Virtual Reality (VR) training module in October 2023 — a breakthrough initiative for training dumper operators.
Instead of practicing on real machines, operators can now train on immersive virtual dumpers, where they learn Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a safe, risk-free environment. This innovation not only enhances safetybut also reduces machine downtime and helps workers gain confidence before stepping into real-world operations.
By blending technology with practical skill-building, NCL is setting new benchmarks in worker safety, competence, and future-ready training, with plans to expand VR modules across its training centers.
