2017 – Foundation Year

The year 2017 marks the foundation of Experience Zone Private Limited. Originally founded in Ranchi, Jharkhand, by Akhouri Anand Kumar, Experience Zone began as an immersive technology firm specializing in XR-based practical learning and cultural and tourism innovation. As demonstrated during our first milestone project—the Pitrapaksha event in September 2017—we uniquely applied Virtual Reality to create an emotional, interactive connection with ancestral traditions, setting us apart from conventional technology providers.
It was the beginning of a journey driven by the vision to make learning practical, immersive, and future-ready.
In this year, the core team laid down the philosophy and framework of Experience Zone:

* To design early concepts of immersive training modules for education and industry.

This foundation year was not just about starting a company, but about starting a movement to revolutionize the way people learn, train, and experience knowledge.

2017 – Pitrapaksha Event, Gaya
On September 10, 2017, Experience Zone organized a first-of-its-kind immersive VR event during Pitrapaksha in Gaya.

The event was inaugurated by Shri Gajadhar Lal Pathak, Secretary of Vishnupad Mandir. Using advanced Virtual Reality technology, people were able to see and feel the presence of their Pitru (ancestors) in a deeply emotional experience.
* The event was highly interactive and engaging.
* Many participants were moved to tears of devotion and connection after experiencing their virtual Pitru Darshan.
* It created a profound spiritual impact, blending tradition with technology in a way that had never been done before.
* This project marked an emotional milestone in our journey, showcasing the power of immersive technology to connect hearts, culture, and spirituality.

2018 – Ideas Expansion & First Government Demonstrations

Building upon the foundation of 2017, the year 2018 was a turning point when Experience Zone moved from vision to execution.
We began creating prototype XR modules for schools, colleges, and industrial training.
Organized interactive demonstrations of 360° Video and VR experiences, making people realize the future of immersive learning.
Expanded our focus beyond cultural events into education, skill development, and training simulations.
Strengthened collaborations with academic institutions and industry experts to shape the early roadmap of immersive solutions.

2018 was the year that established Experience Zone as a pioneer in bringing virtual reality and practical education together, setting the stage for our large-scale projects in the years ahead.

2019 – Building Stronger Foundations

Launched pilot VR-based practical learning for schools. The year 2019 was focused on strengthening our base and expanding our vision. After the successful cultural and educational demonstrations in 2017–2018, Experience Zone moved towards creating structured XR learning modules.
Developed pilot projects for schools, ITIs, and colleges, introducing students to immersive practical learning.
Began healthcare and safety-related XR concepts, exploring how technology can transform medical education and industrial training.
Built an early team of experts, mentors, and collaborators who shared the vision of blending technology with human experience.
Enhanced our technical capabilities in 360° video production, VR content creation, and AR applications.

2019 laid the groundwork for Experience Zone to scale its solutions and enter into larger domains like healthcare, mining, forestry, and tourism in the coming years.

2020 – Expansion & Transition to Scalable Solutions

The year 2020 marked a phase of expansion and real-world validation for Experience Zone. Building on the foundations of earlier years, we began transforming our XR prototypes into scalable solutions for education and industry.

2020 represented our evolution from pilots and experiments into creating impact-driven platforms, paving the way for growth in healthcare, mining, forestry, and beyond.

2021 – Immersive Training

In 2021 – Immersive Training XR-based mining and industrial training modules were launched, marking a significant leap from pilot projects to large-scale implementation. This year was dedicated to bringing immersive technology into high-risk industrial environments, ensuring both safety and skill development.

Experience Zone designed specialized VR modules for mining operations, dumper handling, blasting simulations, and industrial safety drills. These modules provided realistic, risk-free training to workers and students, reducing accidents and optimizing learning outcomes.

The team actively participated in several national and international conferences on mining, education, and emerging technologies, showcasing how XR can revolutionize industrial training. These engagements expanded collaborations with academia, industry leaders, and government stakeholders.

Healthcare and education remained parallel focus areas, with concepts of XR-based surgical training and industrial safety workshops gaining momentum.

Technically, the year brought advancements in creating highly interactive 3D simulations, integrating data analytics into training modules, and improving hardware-software compatibility for field deployment.

By 2021, Experience Zone had established itself as a pioneer in XR-driven industrial learning, setting the stage for broader adoption in mining, healthcare, forestry, and tourism.
